Muhammad
Ainun Nadjib, widely known as Emha Ainun Nadjib or Cak Nun/Mbah Nun, is a

(religious leader), and humanist. Born on May 27, 1953, in Jombang, East
Java, he started his literary journey while residing in Yogyakarta, where he
published his first poetry collection in 1976. Becoming one of the city's
foremost poets by the late 1980s, he also ventured into essay writing. Nadjib
is renowned for his Islamic-themed dramas and musical performances as the
leader of the Kiai Kanjeng group. His works often reflect Islamic values and
spirituality, and he has received numerous awards for his cultural
contributions. Despite his extensive travels and international acclaim,
Nadjib resides in Yogyakarta with his wife, actress Novia Kolopaking, and
their four sons. |

I got to know Maiyah, and that's how I got to know him. he is a teacher and
father to me, through his writings, associations, music, poetry, and rhymes
he is never tired to continue to spread goodness, to be a cooler in the midst
of the chaotic political conditions and tolerance of Indonesia. He is even
willing to sacrifice his money, time and energy just to travel around
Indonesia to visit his children and grandchildren in remote areas of this
country, that's what makes me interested in his figure. |
